STORIES FROM MAGATREA C.D. By BORUT KRZISNIK (formerly of LAIBACH)

STORIES FROM MAGATREA C.D.

By BORUT KRZISNIK (formerly of the bands BORGHESIA and LAIBACH)

STORIES FROM MAGATREA was released in 1997 in America by Falcata-Galia/ Transparency. This work paints evocative pictures and displays ingenious humour. The musical stories do not relate to any particular event, but refers to the written fiction work of Douglas Adams and his description of the prosperity of the giant industry on Magatrea which produced planets. The stories tell us about the inter-connectedness of everyday events and illusions. 'Stories From Magatrea' creates a musical narrative about an imagined world within the imaginary borders of Magatrea.

Borut Krzisnik hails from Ljubljana, Slovenia - He is a guitarist, pianist and sound manipulator and is formerly of the bands LAIBACH and BORGHESIA - taking a totally different direction than usual - this was his first self composed, scored and conducted body of work released on C.D. - It is rather like avant garde classical meets cinematic orchestral with a hint of jazz and big band. At times moody and dark then at other moments lighter and free - the tone reflects influences like Krzysztof Penderecki - All material was worked on during the years of 1996 and 1997. Very Slovenian.

THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY: Classic Decadent Novel By Oscar Wilde

THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY: Classic Decadent Novel
By Oscar Wilde

Dorian Gray: decadent archetype and anti-hero of Oscar Wilde's novel, an underground classic which scandalized society upon its publication in 1890.

Dorian Gray is the debauched libertine who retains a veneer of eternal youth through decades of increasingly outlandish vice, depravity and corruption, while a portrait painting of him ages and rots in an attic.

Presented in its rare original incarnation, the Lippincott edition with an appendix of samples of Wilde's later revisions. Containing elements of dangerous sexual practices, drug abuse and supernatural horror it is Wilde's most extreme creation - a true classic of renegade literature.

Creation Books 2000 Edition - 190 Page Paperback - Cover art by Aubrey Beardsley - Classic Decadent Fiction / Novel - Price: $12.00
